6th - 12th - Have you ever participated in NaNoWriMo? If yes, how did it go?Yes, I have. It was... Interesting. And by interesting, I mean a disaster.
I participated a few years ago and for a multitude of reasons, I didn't have much time or energy to dedicate to it but it was fun and, despite not identifying as a writer, I continued pecking away at it.
Twitter is a ragey, over-opinionated trash fire and Facebook is... Facebook.
I guess I'm going with Instagram even though I don't use it much.
20th - 26th - Have you ever started reading a book and suddenly realized you've already read it?
27th - Dec. 3rd - Do you own an e-reader? If so, what is your favorite thing about it?
Yes, I currently own a couple. (And I've had 4 in total.)
I have my Kindle Voyage (#4) which is freaking awesome and I'm still mad at Amazon for discontinuing the model.
The reason I have two working kindles is because my husband bought me #4 for Christmas as he thought I'd appreciate the additional functionality - and I do - but #3 wasn't broken.
Kindle #2 was one with a keypad at the bottom and I only replaced that one when it broke.
My first ever reader was a Sony e-reader (#1) - I don't think Kindles existed back then - and it was cool but it was a pain in the ass to load books onto and availability of books wasn't too great.
I was happy to replace that one... Although, I actually didn't. Once again, my husband bought me my first kindle (#2) as an upgrade (and to control the volume of books in our house!)
I have 4 ereaders too, but I read mostly on my Oasis. I hate to get rid of my old paperwhite. I have used it to "lend" books to people.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 Kindles. My first one is Kindle Keyboard and all I can do is download books and read them. It's old and it 'can' get on the internet but it's not easy and it's slow. Then I have a Kindle Fire that I sometimes use. But I like the old Kindle Keyboard.
ReplyDeleteI've bought books before forgetting I already owned a copy, but thankfully, it's only happened a couple times. LOL I've never really done NaNoWriMo, but I do write fiction, and I would love to be published someday.

No to NaNoWriMo-I've never been interested in it though I used to write a lot when I was younger and had time! I can't say I enjoy any social media and could happily live without them all. Yes I have a Kobo called Myrnin which is still alive six years on and a Kindle called Maurice! I love how many books they can store so I don't have to see them all in my room, looking at me with accusing eyes!
ReplyDeleteYou published a book??!!! That's awesome! Get it back up there lol
ReplyDeleteI get deja vu a lot when reading romances but I'm not sure if I read them already or they're just similar. I have almost bought the same book but luckily Amazon is like...are you sure you want to buy this again?? lol
I like Twitter but I have that thing muted within an inch of it's life so I don't get dragged into drama. And I like Instagram too but sometimes it feels too fake for me. Facebook is a big nope for me though.
