Weekly Update #125
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Now that's explained, it's on to my weekly recap!
This is going up late but I'm backdating it to Sunday... The reason it's going up late is that I was super wiped out on Sunday due to a busy week.
I was off work the entire week (except Thursday which was a ten-hour day) and the other days will filled with stuff that needed doing.
On Monday, it was household and garden related activities in the morning and errands in the afternoon... Not exciting but overdue and necessary.
Tuesday we went to the dry ski slope with friends and the kids spent an hour or so going down the slopes in giant rubber rings (called ringos) and on quad bike things that have ski's instead of tires or tracks... That was funny seeing it was 32C in temperature! We then went to their alpine adventure park for the afternoon which is a huge wooded fort thing the kids can climb all over with a life-sized pirate ship on a lake they can conquer while the adults can talk. 😉
Wednesday, we went to the Imperial War Museum in London and it was a lovely day out. I've never seen London so quiet!! Rush hour on a tube train and there was only two other people in the entire carriage... Totally bizarre but I was grateful for the space!
Thursday, I was at work.
Friday, we went to a sunflower maze in the village that had been grown to support one of our local charities. I loved that... Sunflowers rock. We then followed it up with the horror that was school uniform shopping *shivers*.
Saturday, we went to Bletchley Park. I LOVED Bletchley Park! The main emphasis of the site is obviously the WWII code-breakers but they do have a couple of exhibits about modern-day encryption and cybersecurity and an exhibit on WWI code-breakers too. Absolutely recommend for a visit if you have any kind of interest in military history.
Sunday, I was an exhausted sloth.
The end. 😀
