Weekly Update #123

Welcome!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Now that's explained, it's on to my weekly recap!

Nothing really to report this week!
The little dude was at his grandfather's for most of it and myself and the professor was at work.

The UK weather is trying to kill me (one of the hottest UK days on record last week!) and the news is back to freaking me out in a way I can't handle so I'm limiting my time on the interwebs.
(I'll be trying to catch up on the week's comments etc today.)

Fingers crossed that next week is more interesting!

    1. I just need time to read them! I have both audio and kindle for Poppy War so that should help me get to it faster than usual. :)

  2. Yes it is so hot right now but luckily it will start to cool down mid August usually. I want to read those Kuang books but haven't gotten there. The Annette Marie I have on audio review request.

    1. I just need time to read the Kuang books! I'm still struggling to focus on reading so super long books are on the back burner at the moment.

  3. Seems like there was a bit of a heatwave everywhere. It down to about 33°C today and that's an improvement. With the storm moving up the coast it's very humid too. So, hot and gross. Glad I am indoors. Looks like you lucked out with your book pick this week. I love seeing all the stars.

  4. Ugh, the heat is brutal. I can't stand when it's too hot unless I'm in a pool. haha And I still try to avoid the news for the most part - I mean, I hear enough, but it overwhelms you!

  5. It's cooler here - Friday was uncomfortable with that hot wind blowing, but I generally love the heat. I know what you mean about the News... I'm busy ignoring it! I love the look of Warping the World and Other Misdemeanours and hope the coming week is a good one, Nicci:)

  6. I've been really limiting my news intake. It's all so depressing. I've got enough stresses to worry about in my own life. Haha. What do you think of Cursed? I have that in my Netflix queue. I hope you have a great week, Nicci.

    1. The first half of the season is super slow but the second half is much better! My favourite character is the Weeping Monk because I seriously have heart eyes for the actor, lol, and I find the character the most interesting...

  7. It's been hot here too. We're definitely in the heat wave days of summer. I hope you get a cooldown soon. And same here with the news. I've been avoiding it lately. :)

    1. Not long until Autumn so I probably shouldn't complain about the heat... But it's not likely to stop me! lol

  8. I hope the weather cools down for you, our winter is quite mild at the moment.

Wishing you a great reading week

    1. Our winters have been pretty mild for a few years now... I'm actually hoping for a cold one when it comes just for a change!

  9. I hope the little guy had fun with his grandfather. Probably good for him to have a change of scenery and routine. I can sympathize with the hot weather. It's been brutal here the last week - 35 C most days. Ugh. I am so over it.

    1. Ugh, no that's like our temps this week and it's just wrong! I'm not made for this weather at all, lol.

  10. I’ve also been staying away from the news. It’s too stressful right now. Don’t melt in the heat! Have a great week.

  11. I had to take a news break too. It's all so disheartening.

I heard Deal with the Devil and The Poppy War are fantastic.

  12. The weather up here in the highlands is a massive pain in the backside, when my better half went to work this morning it was just above freezing then the temperature jumps to around 20 - tomorrow it’s torrential rain. The joys of British weather!
