Weekly Update #117

Welcome!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Now that's explained, it's on to my weekly recap!

There's nothing really to report!
I think I've officially hit reading slump status, I have no motivation to do anything, no patience to deal with anything or anyone and I'm generally just super super grumpy.
Even worse, the professor is grumpy, the kid is grumpy, I speak to my mum and she's tired and grumpy... It seems to be the general state of people and it's exhausting.

The only thing that saved this week for me was watching the Medici TV show on Netflix.

Ah well, next week will hopefully be a better one! You know, if I can snap out of this funk.

Hope you're all ok!

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just one novella!

Medici: Masters of Florence (aka S1) and Medici: The Magnificent (aka S2 & 3) although I've only got to the end of S2 so far.
It's awesome! Beautifully acted, wonderful costumes and an amazing soundtrack.
The eye candy is also superb... Just saying.

As I said, I've been binge-watching Medici on Netflix and I'm in love!
This song is hauntingly beautiful and the melody is woven through the show.

Have a great week all!

  1. Oh boy, being grumpy seems to be very normal these days. My dad blames his illness and the virus for everything he does not want to do or why he behaves the way he behaves. It is annoying. Stay strong and safe!

  3. Grumpy is good! Us Scots are really good at it after years of practice! *grins* My dad and I are spending the weekend changing the furniture in the living room to give us more space and as we go we're storing stuff in cupboards and chucking out junk. It's looking good but we won't finish until tomorrow!

  7. Well we are tired here but holding out on the grumpy. I'm still reading and staying home. I hope next week is better. It's going to be too hot here so I won't sleep as well and will be grumpy or have a headache myself. Take care and stay well!

  10. I would be lying if I said I haven't been grumpy and exhausted lately either and haven't even really felt like reading, which is shocking for me. I hope we can all pull out of this funk soon!

  11. Yes, grumpy is a side effect of everything that is happening. It is great that we can watch shows on Netflix, etc. I had a nightmare last night that my laptop crashed, and because of the Pandemic, I couldn't take it in to be repaired. Sigh.

But...I remembered that my Geek Squad does pick things up...but if my laptop has crashed, how to contact them with none of that info.?

I was in quite a state. LOL.

I hope you have a better week. Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES

  18. We're all very grumpy too! I can usually catch myself, but husband has very little patience when the children are grumpy, haha. I've been trying to take them on hikes during the week, so we can social distance while getting out of the house. It's been helping! The sunshine, fresh air, and exercise. If only I could read while walking... alas, I must watch the monsters. ;)
