OMG! There's finally a cover! And a blurb and I'm dying!!!
It's been too long since January and I'm not kidding, I may actually DIE* from needing this book (and the rest of both series) before they draw to their conclusions!
Releases: April 3rd
(*Okay, I may be kidding about the actual dying but it feels like I might...)

I thought I understood power.
My parents taught me that magic attracts equal danger, and everything I've seen since becoming a demon contractor confirms it. I've witnessed how power twists and corrupts—and I've tasted power no human should wield.
I thought I knew greed.
Ambition and avarice drove my family into hiding. My parents died for someone else's greed. I've never hunted anything in my life, but now I'm hunting their killer—with my demon's help.
I thought I'd seen evil.
But with each step closer to my parents' murderer, I'm uncovering a different sort of evil, piece by hidden piece. I've stumbled into an insidious web that silently, secretly ensnares everything it touches. My demon and I came as the hunters...
...but I think we might be the prey.
I bought it last year on Kindle when it was on sale at 99p.
It's a fairytale retelling and I love those (even if this is Cinderella, one of the ones I like least) plus it gets lots of great feedback and frequently makes it into people's "best of" lists and whatever.
I've never read anything by the author so I'd like to see what the fuss is about.
I remember a lot of people reading/reviewing Geekerella when it first came out and most seemed to love it. It sounds like it would be super cute and a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI need super cute and fun right now! The world is pretty grim. :(
DeleteI can't wait for Hunting Fiends! I still need to finish Druids though and I heard this one will have tons of spoilers for Druids so I need to finish it! I'm behind. :(
ReplyDeleteApparently from this book onwards the two series overlap tighter and tighter and you can't read one without spoilers for the other. I am SO ready for this! Fingers crossed you manage to catch up soon!
DeleteI love the cover for the Hunting Fiends for the Ill Equipped.
ReplyDeleteRight?! It's so awesome. All the covers from this author are so well done, she's an amazing artist. (She makes them herself!)
DeleteGeekerella does look really cute :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the cover art!
DeleteIf you are having a bad day, and need a pick-me-up, read Geekerella. I was smiling my face off, when I read that one.
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to start it now! This week has been... Horrific.
DeleteI'm hoping to get back into my reading this weekend. I haven't even been able to concentrate on Harry Potter! Once isolation starts, I hope to be calmer and get stuck into some projects that I've been putting off due to lack of time. No excuses now! Hopefully you'll get to enjoy both books soon!
ReplyDeleteIsolation for me is going to look very different! WFH around home schooling the kid... I have no idea when I'll have time to read but I'm determined to find a way!
DeleteI'm loving the Hunting Fiends book title!! Not too long now!

I'm so excited! This book is gonna be a complete game changer in this series!
DeleteThese are both very fun picks! I hope you get to them soon and do love them. :)

I loved Geekerella! Just need to read the rest in that series. The first one looks good as well. Hope you get your hands on it soon!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Wednesday post
Hunting Fiends for the Ill-Equipped is such a cool title. Geekerella has been on my TBR for awhile. I keep telling myself I need to read it soon. I've heard awesome things about it. :)
ReplyDeleteI am loving this title! And the blurb has me so curious about the MC now. Going to check this out on Goodreads.
ReplyDeleteSounds good! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI was absolutely that giddy when McManus' new book The Cousins got a cover a couple weeks ago. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!
