I'm late in writing and posting this because I've been crazy busy week since Thursday and a pretty crap week up until Thursday.
The beginning half of the week was a miserable haze of work and feeling horrendous over the loss of my cat. I knew it would be a tough and crappy week but it topped even my expectations... I miss that little furball so so much! ๐ญ
The second half of the week, I was so busy I barely had time to blink!
Thursday, I had a half-day in the office then I came home and I went on a cleaning and sorting spree in advance of my mum arriving and in preparation for Christmas. Nice way to kick start the holidays!
Friday I dropped the little dude at school for his last day and then the professor and I spent the morning wrapping all the presents!
The afternoon, we collected the kid and went to dinner and to see the new Star Wars - which I thought was awesome.
Saturday was spent catching up on emails and some online bits before hitting the Christmas market and ice-skating and then we came home and watched Klaus on Netflix.
Today, I picked up my mum from the airport and went from there to town for her to do her Christmas shopping. By the time we got home and had some dinner, I'm tired, feeling festive once more and desperately seeking time to READ!
When the time comes, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!
(And if you don't celebrate Christmas a nice day.)

I started on Wednesday and it's been the perfect distraction for my battered soul... I'm not reading it anywhere as quickly as I could or would want to because I've had no freaking time since then to indulge but I'm hoping to dive back in this evening.
Sam asks, Can We Just Let People Like Things?

This week, I've watched Love Actually, Klaus, Home Alone and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
I plan on watching The Witcher at some point and finishing His Dark Materials over the holidays.

Thanks AJ! We lost another of our cats in Dec 2017 and we still miss her fiercely so we know it won't go away, you just learn to live with it. :(

Thank you and I hope you enjoy your holidays too!
DeleteI agree about Santa-what gives him the right!!! I can remember when our neighbour's lovely greyhound died and how upset I was about it-Shadow used to come to our door constantly for extra biscuits and cuddles! So I can't begin to imagine the pain of losing your own beloved pet.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard. They're such a big part of your day-to-day that you feel their loss constantly. :(
DeleteI'm so sorry about your cat. That's hard. If I had Netflix I would watch The Witcher.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for The Witcher! I'm a bit of a Henry Cavill fan too so it's a double win!
DeleteHugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks
DeleteSounds like you were incredibly busy in the days/week leading up the Christmas. Always so much to do. Hooray for starting The Cruel Prince! I just bought The Queen of Nothing yesterday and can’t wait to start it. Hope you’re having a wonderful visit with your mom!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tanya! I finished both The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King and am onto The Queen of Nothing! I'm SO GLAD I didn't have the year long wait between books or they might have killed me!
DeleteHope you enjoy it!
Ha! That Santa pic speaks the absolute truth! ๐
ReplyDeleteYou've been crazy busy around Christmas, it seems! I'm sorry to hear you lost your cat just around these days. It must have felt even sadder - though at least you had less time to think about...uh...her? him?
