Not much happened this week.
I picked my mum up from the airport on Tuesday and then it was work work work until the weekend when I collapsed in an exhausted heap!
This week has been another struggle and I have managed to do none of the things I wanted to do.
To make it worse, my mum was recovering from a bad cold and chest infection when she arrived and I started to feel unwell again yesterday so I'm really not a happy bunny!
However! I have a week off work this week so I'll be going out and about with my family doing some fun things! I am determined.
I'll also catch up on blog things as I didn't do anything blog related this week. No posts (beyond pre-scheduled), no visits, no return comments... Nothing!
My head just wasn't in a space to be on the internet.

Caught Dead - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I liked this Octavia Hollows instalment! It delivered some twists I wasn't expecting and actually finished on a cliffhanger! I'm not a fan of cliffhangers but when you can go straight onto the next book they're fine. I've been working my way through the audio compilation and I hope to have the series finished in time for the audio blitz next week.
Innocent Until Proven Fae - ⭐⭐⭐
This could have been so much better. Instead, I found myself scoffing and rolling my eyes more times than should be necessary while reading any book.
I hope the final book in the series ends on a high as the entire series has been a mixed bag.
Collateral - ⭐⭐⭐
I'll read the second part of the duology though as it ended on a cliffhanger and that's not acceptable.
Kindle Unlimited
The sixth and final book in the Paranormal PI Files series released on the 22nd Oct so that meant it was time for me to grab the last two books get the series finished!
I have nothing because I've been offline being a sloth while not at work.
Sorry!

This week has been a week of movies!
Ghostbusters 1 & 2, the Goosebumps movie and Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone.
Review: Slaying Monsters For The Feeble by Annette Marie
Reading Challenge: Read A Series In A Month (November)

All I have scheduled is a couple of release blitzes but I hope to get a few more posts finished and scheduled! It all depends on how I'm feeling, I guess.
Ugh the joy of flu season! This year I have masks for my face and if I have to go near a GP surgery before April, I'll be wearing it even if I do get funny looks! That's where I caught the flu last year! I agree with that sentiment-I always go to greet a cute dog but don't want to talk to people!
ReplyDeleteSorry your mom is sick, and I hope you're not catching what she had!!

That last meme picture - I feel seen lol
ReplyDeleteI hope you (& your mom) feel better this week. I get you with not being in the right headspace for things. I finally found some fluffier reads and that's helping me get back into things.

ReplyDeleteI love that graphic at the end there- so true lol!
Thank God for weeks off work, right?! If I were you I'd eat up every minute of it, maybe take a trip or just throw myself on some comfortable bed set.. who knows...
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear it was another rough week. And I hope you're not getting sick! Ghostbusters is a blast from the past. I saw the original one when it came out in the 80's but I never saw the sequel or the remake (remakes??). The original is such a classic. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Jenna Wolfhart. I need to read this series from her
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!

Here's my Weekly Wrap Up
Take it easy.. we will still be here when you feel better and up for the blogging world again. Sometimes our bodies and minds need the time out, plus change of season doesn't help much.

Ouch, doesn´t sound good. Take your time, we´re not going anywhere :-)
ReplyDeleteGracious, be careful that you haven't overdone, and then you will end up feeling awful, too. Rest when you get a chance and let everything else slide.
