CWW: Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read.
Generally, they're books that have yet to be released.
It's based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine.

Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Zayne was never my favourite in the original series, I was always a Roth girl, but I must admit I'm excited to return to this world and see beloved characters again!
I'm sure I'll even fall in love with Zayne when he's not pitted romantically against Roth.

Eighteen-year-old Trinity Marrow may be going blind, but she can see and communicate with ghosts and spirits. Her unique gift is part of a secret so dangerous that she’s been in hiding for years in an isolated compound fiercely guarded by Wardens—gargoyle shape-shifters who protect humankind from demons. If the demons discover the truth about Trinity, they’ll devour her, flesh and bone, to enhance their own powers.

When Wardens from another clan arrive with disturbing reports that something out there is killing both demons and Wardens, Trinity’s safe world implodes. Not the least because one of the outsiders is the most annoying and fascinating person she’s ever met. Zayne has secrets of his own that will upend her world yet again—but working together becomes imperative once demons breach the compound and Trinity’s secret comes to light. To save her family and maybe the world, she’ll have to put her trust in Zayne. But all bets are off as a supernatural war is unleashed…

What's ticking your boxes this week?

  1. I was firmly Team Roth in the original Dark Elements trilogy but it was easy to fall for Zayne in this one. He is so sweet, so protective, and willing to do the right thing even when it goes against what his clan believes. Love that about him. And Trinity is a kick-ass character in her own right! :)

    1. OMG, really? That is surprising... They're fun but if you read too many of the series close together you notice the repetition of themes and personalities. Doesn't bother me though. :)
