Another week, another migraine! Fabulous.
Beyond the second brain-blender in a week, I had a pretty good one.
Read a few books, watched some TV and had fun at a BBQ with friends.
Feel like I'm starting to get my balance again so I'm hoping to get back into a semi-normal routine with blogging this week.
The little dude ran his mini-marathon and did so well! So proud of him and his classmates.
The atmosphere was wonderful. All the parents and kids who'd run or were waiting to run from his school clustered together towards the final stretch and the kid's faces as they heard the cheering and their name being chanted as they charged towards the finish... That will stay with me for a while. They were so happy and proud of themselves and there was more than one parent who had a tear in their eye as they watched them.
We finished Saturday with Pizza and Eurovision... I have no idea why we watch Eurovision. The music is most definitely not our type of music but there is something fun and infectious about it. I usually quite like the Scandinavian entries and this year was no exception. Kinda gutted that Norway didn't win, but whatever. 😊

This series is amazing and I really enjoyed this instalment but for whatever reason, it wasn't quite the 5 star the first three books were.
99p Sale
People are loving it, I want to read it, imagine my excitement when I went to add it to my amazon wishlist and found it on sale at 99p, last Sunday!
Don't know if it's still on sale but worth checking if you're interested.
Kindle Unlimited
I haven't read Willow Winters but she's a RARE2020 author and the Facebook Ad for this had me wanting to read it immediately... But it has to wait, on my kindle, for I have other books to finish first. 😆
Freebie
Romance Reader Book Club gives you a freebie every month and this month was Fallen Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan!
So far, all the books gifted through this book club have been books I don't own so it's working out to be a big win!
GoT... Of course.
Also, I've started a rewatch of Once Upon a Time.
I'd forgotten how much I loved this show.
I love this song... This band are so underrated. This guys voice! 😍
Nicci thank you for making me discover this band!!!! Instant love!!! Now I am sorry to hear about your migraine! I had one this week too with aura and it sucks! Let's hope next week will be better.
ReplyDeleteSo far so good!
DeleteI'm glad he had a good time in his mini marathon. I had a headache for a week that ended up being a sinus infection but is going away now with antibiotics.
ReplyDeleteOh that sucks! I hate sinus infections. Hope you feel better soon!
DeleteSorry about the Migraine The mini marathon sounds like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI saw Eurovision on Twitter but have no idea what it even is, I honestly never heard of it.
I hope you have a great week, Nicci! Happy Reading! xx
Lol, it's a super bad music contest with a representative from the entirety of Europe and for some random reason Australia! It makes you die inside but you laugh lots (they take it so seriously!)
DeleteSorry you are still suffering from migraines. They suck. I am so surprised TBT went on sale so quick, but YEAH for you! I loved it! I hope you enjoy it too.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe it was on sale either! It's just released! Definitely a win.
DeleteUgh, sorry to hear about another migraine. Poor you. :( But very exciting for your little guy to do so well. It sounds like a pretty fun event with all the families there. :)
ReplyDeleteThey all did so well! It was a wonderful atmosphere.
DeleteGosh 99p is a bargain, The Bride Tesf is not even out here for sale yet.
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week
I know! Couldn't believe it!
DeleteWhat a nice way to celebrate the kids finishing their races! :)
ReplyDeletePizza and Eurovision sounds fun
We then went for ice cream (before lunch) so it was a win win all day, lol
DeleteSorry to hear that you had another migraine but glad it didn't ruin your whole week. Mini marathon, eh? That's quite an achievement for little legs.
ReplyDeleteI had wanted to go to the RARE19 up in London but all the tickets had sold out. Rare20 is up in Scotland I think, bit of a trek but I'll have al look a the authors and try to find some new-to-me favourites. ;-)
Hope you have a great week and enjoy your reads. x
I'm lucky that I can fly up and stay with my mum. :)
DeleteLove the song!

Thanks Lauren, so far this week has been fine!
DeleteI can't believe Game of Thrones is over! I seem to be one of the few who actually liked the final season and the ending!
ReplyDeleteActually... I didn't mind the ending. I had issues with lots this season but the actual ending? Not so much. Made sense to me.
DeleteMigraines are the worst! I hope you're having a good week this week! I loved The Bride Test! It was such an amazing story!
