2019 Reading Challenge Update - March

March wasn't a great month for reading... Only 7 books.
It's not that I haven't been reading it's just that very little has held my attention. I've got 4 different books from March at various stages of completion and I just have no motivation to finish any of them so I'm taking a break and trying to find something else.

I'm still ahead on my Goodreads challenge for the year (currently at 28%) so it's not too bad but hopefully April is much better for reading!

🌻

This year, I signed up for  4 reading challenges (not including the Goodreads Challenge) and 1 blogging challenge.
Details of them can be found in my 2019 Reading Challenge sign up post.

This month I have made progress as follows...

The Goal was to 10-12 books this year featuring royalty.

I entered March with a total of two, I finish March with a total of 2.
I've read no 'Royal' themed books this month.

My blog challenge... Each month a prompt is given and the goal is to write a blog post that fits it.
I haven't written a single prompt. I fail. Maybe I'll catch up... Maybe I should just give up.
😆

My aim for this one was to read 10-15 books featuring bad boys...
This month I read 1 bringing the total to 1.
Woo! I finally got started on this challenge.

It was complete and utter garbage. I do not recommend.

This reading challenge is aimed at reading books published before 2019 and getting them off your backlist/TBR/wishlist...

This month, I read only 2 books from the backlist.

and

I'm aiming for 5 audiobooks this year.
My total is now at 3.
One a month, so far! I'm going to have to up my goal for this one!

March's audiobook was The Mark of Athena

How are your challenges going this year?

  1. Good job with the challenges you were able to hit. I'm not really focusing on any this year beyond the Goodreads challenge and the Discussion challenge (which I need to do more of) because I just tend to forget. haha

  2. You are doing well with some and meh with others. Maybe you took on too much and feel boxed in? That happens. I love that you will need to up your Audiobook goals. I do a backlist challenge, although hosted by someone else. Good luck in April!

  4. I didn't do much better. I only finished 8 books in March also. Would have been seven but I decided to finish an emotional memoir that I started last year

    1. It's definitely the one thing I'm happy about! I feel like I need to make audiobooks work for me to keep up with reading as life gets crazier.

  9. I have to work on a post for my challenges to see where I am at. I don't think I have done much but I have read 11 books so far and with school that is good. Good luck with all your challenges!

  10. You're doing better than me on the Goodreads challenge as I'm close to ten books behind schedule! I'm behind on everything right now including my series catchup and the Royal challenge! I need to have a good April but I'm struggling! Good luck for the rest of the month!
