Cody likes to eat things that maybe he shouldn't. In this very simple 20-page book, beginning readers will meet Cody and the things he likes to eat.
Simple repetitive sentences designed to get kids started with reading. There isn't any story to it, just cute and funny pictures of Cody the dog eating lots of random items... Including poop! (This is why I have cats, fyi.)
Anyway, if your kid is very young and/or just starting out on their reading journey then why not give it a try!
Poor Little Hoo! Little Hoo doesn't feel good. With a fever and a stuffy beak, Little Hoo needs lots of rest before the little owl will be ready to play. Mama Hoo provides fluffy pillows, plenty of tissues and comforting soup for the little owl in this sweet book about being sick.
Erm... I think the book description pretty much says it all. It's a book about a little owl feeling sick and his mum looking after him. It takes you through the basics of having the flu or a cold - e.g. stuffy nose, temperature, feeling tired - and it shows mummy owl looking after her chick but it's that simple. The simplicity would have been fine except that the text was so boring and unimaginative that I don't really recommend it.
However, the illustrations were pretty cool.
Stanley is a very friendly walrus who lives at Funkland World. Everyone who knows Stanley loves him and wants to be his friend. The only problem is Stanley is lacking in hygiene!
This was a fun and quirky story about Stanley the Walrus who is a well known friendly chap but who has terrible personal hygiene. When Stanley meets Stella and 'wants to be her fella', he has to make some changes and this includes brushing his tusks!
Basically, this is a book aimed at getting kids to brush their teeth but also look after themselves properly.
It's totally random and could probably flow better but it was fun and we had a good giggle while reading it so it got two big thumbs up in this house.
