2019 Reading Challenge Update - Feb

February was a good reading month!
I read a total of 14 books.
Only 6 of them fit into my challenges for the year but I'm cool with that.
Plus, my Goodreads total is sitting at 22 books.
That's 22% of my reading goal for this year in two months.
That's the first time that's happened in quite some time! I'm usually really behind... Although, about 6 of those books were kids reads so probably shouldn't count.
*shrug*

🌻

This year, I signed up for  4 reading challenges (not including the Goodreads Challenge) and 1 blogging challenge.
Details of them can be found in my 2019 Reading Challenge sign up post.

This month I have made progress as follows...

The Goal was to 10-12 books this year featuring royalty.

In January, I read one!
This month I read another one... This one was about a king of the winter fae.

Thus closing out Feb with a total of two.

My blog challenge... Each month a prompt is given and the goal is to write a blog post that fits it.
I failed to write one for February and I failed to catch up on my missing January post.
I WILL catch up in March.
😆

My aim for this one was to read 10-15 books featuring bad boys...
This month I read 0 keeping the total at zero.
I'll catch up. This is an easy one to catch up one... I do like a good bad boy.

This reading challenge is aimed at reading books published before 2019 and getting them off your backlist/TBR/wishlist...

This month, I read 6 books from the backlist.
Bringing the total to 12.

I'm aiming for 5 audiobooks this year.
My total is now at 2.
1 in Jan and 1 in Feb. I'm on a roll!

February's audiobook was The Son of Neptune.

Now, I'm onto book 3: The Mark of Athena.

How are your challenges going this year?

  1. One New York Christmas looks adorable. I have visited NY during Christmas and it is so pretty! We went ice skating at Rockefeller Plaza. Super fun. Enjoy your books and good job on your challenges so far.

    1. I've been to NY the week before thanksgiving and the decorations were up and things looked awesome but I'd love to go a little closer to Christmas next time.

  2. That’s awesome that you’re already ahead on your GoodReads goal. I think you’ve discovered the secret: throw in several kids books to the mix.LOL I’m not doing any challenges this year (other than GoodReads) but I could probably do well with that backlist challenge since that’s what I’m concentrating on this year. :)

    1. It's going to become my thing whenever I start falling horribly behind, lol.

  3. You read 6 backlist books? That's fantastic! I read 36 books and 12 were backlist, but I think almost all of those were audiobooks. Good job with your challenges.

  6. I am doing challenge update only once in 6 months, maybe should do more often - it is such fun. I am also participating in audio challenge this year.

  7. I love watching my progress on challenges! I think it's motivating to see where I am and what I still have left to accomplish. I'm always determined to meet my goals, no matter how lofty they may seem! My Goodreads goal is 500, because of all the comics I read, so we'll see how that works out. ;)

  8. I need to get moving on my Royal Challenge as I've read one and DNFed one. I'm planning to read two this month with any luck and I hope they are good!

    1. I need to read some more books that kit with my challenges... I'm doing well on beating the backlist but feel like it'd be super easy to fall behind on others (like the Royal reading challenge).
