Weekly Update #40

Welcome!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Now that's explained, it's on to my weekly recap!

Another week and another update that covers two as I forgot to post last week.
In my defence, I was super busy.
Christmas nights out, a hen party, family arriving, finishing up work for the holidays and a wedding kinda dominated all my time.
I wasn't online much and while it was nice to be offline and with my family and friends, I have to admit I missed my laptop, my blog, my blogger peeps and actually having time to read!
It's been ages since I've been able to say I have nothing immediately needing to be done, or haven't been ill and have had the energy to do things!
Now the wedding is done, and I'm back to full health (fingers crossed I stay that way!), I'm ready to chill, enjoy Christmas, blog ahead (for once!) and get into a routine!
Oh, how I crave a nice routine... I'm like a toddler. I need it! lol

The wedding went off without a hitch. I have no pictures yet but once I get some, I'll share.
😊

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Life kept me from reading this one as fast as I would have liked but I really enjoyed Luna and the Lie. It has a couple of niggles (mostly towards the end) that kept it from being a 5 star read for me but that doesn't change the fact that it was classic Zapata and a really good read.

I clicked. I read. I liked.

There was nothing else. In two weeks. Shows how busy it's been!

I saw Aquaman last week and it was... Pretty good. The story wasn't all that but visually it was awesome (in more ways than one!) and it kept us entertained for the full two hours so I was happy.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've also watched Arthur Christmas, Elf and How The Grinch Stole Christmas with the little dude but that's it!

I hadn't seen Arthur Christmas or Elf before and I loved them both!
Elf had me in stitches and Arthur Christmas was absolutely charming.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a favourite. We love the book, we love the film. I know that the movie gets a lot of flack but I don't understand why... It's funny, festive and adorable in places.

  1. I've got to get some films watched this winter. It's crazy how many unwatched I have and how few I'm watching each year! Glad to hear the wedding went well!

    1. Thanks Chuckles.
I got through quite a few when ill and it's been easier to watch in the rare downtime lately than read. I usually dont get through more than a couple at Christmas.

  2. Elf is my absolute favorite Christmas movie. My kids were little when it came out and we watch it together every year. It still makes me laugh! Merry Christmas!!

    1. I'm a Jason Momoa fan, not a DC fan. The only DC I'd liked up to now was Wonder Woman but I definitely recommend Aquaman.

    1. Aquaman is my second fav DC movie next to Wonder Woman... It's not saying much considering how bad DC can be but we definitely had fun.
