Weekly Update #35

Welcome!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Now that's explained, it's on to my weekly recap!

My muscles ache. I see boxes in my sleep. I'm so over moving already... But the good news is that I'm moved! Now I just have to unpack. And sort out the old house for handing back. And update my address everywhere and all the other annoying things that come with moving.
😐
I remind myself that at least this time we own our house and don't have to move ever again unless we want to! It helps me stay sane.

P.S - We don't have internet in our new place yet. We're waiting on it being switched over. That means I'm behind on posting stuff I should have posted this week... I'm trying my best to catch up while snatching 5 min here and there in coffee shops (and by tethering my laptop to my phone's data) but it's painful. However, the internet comes back Tuesday! Yeay!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm not going to say much about this except it was awesome because my review is already up and linked below. 😊

⭐⭐⭐⭐

My ARC arrived on my kindle this week and was immediately inhaled.
Will share my thoughts as part of the blog tour on November 1st.

Bought

Oh yes... I finally have the paperback within my grubby little grasp!
I've been desperate to read it but now that I have it I find myself scared to start, lol.
Soon. I'll be reading it soon.

ARCs

Squees, fan-girls, dies.
The wait for the final book of this trilogy almost killed me but the excitement when it appeared on my kindle more than made up for it!

The arrival of this ARC should have brought joy but instead left me miffed. Why? Because it arrived - no joke - on Wednesday (24th) and my slot on the blog tour was Saturday (27th).
WTF?
It could have been worse though: Some people had a review slot on the 25th!!
Ordinarily, being given a couple of days to review something would have been a minor annoyance but I would have switched up my reading to finish the book on time and review.
However, in the middle of moving house with no internet?! Nope. Major annoyance. I couldn't even download the thing to my kindle! I've been reading it on my phone which isn't conducive to a good binge read! However, I'll catch up and get it posted. It may be a day or two late but given the circumstances, it's the best I can do.

I have nothing.
I've been self-absorbed in house moving land.
I'll be checking out blogs and binge commenting when I get my internet back and a spare minute.

Nothing. We haven't hooked our tv up yet so this plus no internet means no watching.

I'm hoping to see Bohemian Rhapsody this week and once Halloween has passed The Nutcracker movie too.

  2. Oh, sigh, moving is such a pain! Which is why I'm still, eleven years later, in what was supposed to be a temporary space.

    Enjoy the settling in part.

Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  3. Huge congratulations on the move - and THIS is why it's regarded as the third most stressful life event next to bereavement and divorce! Sorry you are so cut off and hope the packing is soon over. Sending you lots of energy and positive thoughts...

  4. Updating an address and phone number is the absolute worst. I never realized how many things were tied to my phone number until I got a new cell phone. So glad to hear you are in the house. I am so happy for you! I like doing tours, but some of them cut it too close for my comfort. I have a review written, but none of the electronic assets for my tour stop on Thursday. I hope you got it read in time.

  5. Oh Nicci, I feel for you! Having just gone through all that you are dealing with, I know how utterly exhausting and overwhelming it is. Hang in there, my friend. There's an end in sight! And thank goodness you'll have internet back in a couple days! An ARC that arrives 2-3 days before a blog tour? Ha! No thank you. How annoying... and impossible for most!

    1. It's when there isn't places for stuff yet because we haven't bought the piece of furniture... Like a bathroom cabinet. We have a shiny new bathroom but it has nowhere to put anything! :/

  7. Yay for moving, but sorry about all the unpacking - yeah, that's not fun. But true, once it's done, you're good for life!! :) I want to see Bohemian Rhapsody too!

  8. YAY you!! Congratulations on moving in. I know it is stressful but it will all work out and like you said - you won't have to move again unless you want to. That is a wonderful blessing. Much luck with everything.

  10. First things first - congratulations of being all moved!
Second - I adored FALL. I love everything KC writes and I don't think I've rated any book by her less than 5 stars. Yes, that's how good she is! So happy you loved it too!

Third - Three days before your post date you get an ARC? You are generous to accept that.

    1. Thanks!
I have a few Kristin Callihan books on the kindle I haven't read so as well as going back to book 1 & 2 in the VIP series, I'm going to have to catch up on her other books as well. Glad to hear you rate them so highly!

The ARC thing was whacked. First time that's happened to me and I was so tempted to email the tour host with a polite "are you kidding me?!" but I refrained.

  12. I've had the moving bug for awhile now. I don't love FL but the idea of ACTUALLY MOVING is ugh....my husband was int he military so we moved a lot our first few years of marriage and I hate it so much.

    1. Moving is a thing of evil. I swear, I never want to move again even though I know we've got at least one more move to 'level up' to the house size we want. :/

  13. Yay for almost being done! It is crazy how much you have to do. It's been 15 years for me since I've moved and I'm good with that. lol Good luck with the final bits and unpacking!
