Blog Tour & Review: Fall by Kristen Callihan

Earlier in the week, I celebrated the books release and today I share my thoughts!
Aren't you excited?
😜

P.S - You should be. Not about my thoughts but about this book. It's yummy and if you like rockstar romance it's a must.

Add it to your Goodreads!

In my defense, I didn’t know he was Jax Blackwood—who expects a legendary rock star to be shopping for groceries? More importantly, a blizzard was coming and he was about to grab the last carton of mint-chocolate chip.
Still, I might have walked away, but then he smugly dared me to try and take the coveted ice cream. So I kissed him. And distracted that mint-chip right out of his hands.
Okay, it was a dirty move, but desperate times and all that. Besides, I never expected he’d be my new neighbor.
An annoying neighbor who takes great pleasure in reminding me that I owe him ice cream but would happily accept more kisses as payment. An irresistible neighbor who keeps me up while playing guitar naked–spectacularly naked–in his living room.
Clearly, avoidance is key. Except nothing about Jax is easy to ignore—not the way he makes me laugh, or that his particular brand of darkness matches mine, or how one look from him melts me faster than butter under a hot sun.
Neither of us believes in love or forever. Yet we’re quickly becoming each other’s addiction. But we could be more. We could be everything.
All we have to do is trust enough to fall.

ebook.

Full-length novel.

Alternating first-person.

Before the book begins, the author explains that the main character - Jax - had attempted suicide in the past. The book doesn't elaborate on it beyond it having happened and handles the topic of depression very well. That said, for those who are particularly sensitive on this topic, I guess it may not be for them.

No. This is book three in a series of interconnected standalones but you get all the info you need here. However, be prepared to immediately want to read the others in this series!

OMG, I loved this book! Like, seriously loved it.
I'd read the first book in this series forever ago and didn't remember much at all beyond it was pretty good. I skipped book two completely and only opted to read this one because the blurb sounded good, not because I'm a particular fan of the series. However, that's just changed people!
Fall has turned me into a fan-girl for this series!
I cannot wait for the next book in and while I wait, I'm going to re-read book one and read book two just so everything is nice and fresh in the brain.

Fall just might be one of my favourite books of 2018.

Jax was amazing.
It's been a long time since a male character has sucked me in so completely but he was just so vulnerable but strong and sweet and sexy and awesome. He was written so well that I'm not kidding when I say I fell a little bit in love with him.
My heart broke over his struggles... They felt so real, and his humor and his kindness just made everything hit home that little bit harder that this wonderful guy with everything to live for got so tangled up in his head sometimes that he couldn't see how great he was.

Stella was lovely, quirky and sweet. A kind person with a big heart but she was also so achingly lonely that I just wanted to adopt her as my bestie.

On paper, a Stella and a Jax wouldn't work but the worked out beautifully. Both were exactly what the other needed but not what either of them ever expected.

I laughed a lot reading this book. I cringed. I almost cried. I definitely felt the romantic feels.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story and was gutted to see it end.

Fall is a cracking rockstar romance but I recommend it for anyone who is a fan of contemporary romances.
The story is full of heart and I'm willing to bet would capture just about anyone's who gave it a try.

I like it. It's... eye-catching. 😉
