Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at
Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read.
Generally, they're books that have yet to be released.
It's based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine.
Oh yes!
It's coming!
Less than a week to go and it'll be within my excited paws!
I feel like I've been waiting on this book forever.
I can't wait to read it. It's going to be epic. I know it is.
But I can't believe it's the end!
I LOVE Kate Daniels!
I love this world.
I don't want it to be over.
I don't care that there are two more Iron Covenant books to go within this world... It's not enough!
PLEASE please please let there be another spin-off series.
Please.
With a cherry on top.
Highlight between the sunflowers if you're interested in some fangirly ranting/thoughts/predictions about Magic Triumphs!
lol
I've hidden it because it's a little spoilery for other books.
đŸŒ»<OMG! I'm so hoping for some 'Uncle Hugh' moments between Kate's son and Hugh in Magic Triumphs! Curran can go calm himself in a corner.
It's got to happen!
After Iron and Magic, it's got to happen, right?
Hugh threatens freakin' ROLAND with death if he moves on Kate's kid. Hugh totally sees Kate as a sibling... So it's got to happen.
And what's with Hugh's blood magic thing?!
Is Hugh a distant relative? Is it Kate's magic? Is she doing the freaky sharing thing keeping Hugh alive? What's with that?! OMG... so exctied. So freaking excited.
I know it's a long-shot but I'd love for Hugh and Kate to actually accept each other as family.
I'm placing bets on that scene (at the end of Kate book 6) where it was shown Hugh and Kate fighting back to back in a huge freakin' battle actually happens and they just took the vision out of context at the time assuming that she'd turn against Curran and go to Roland instead of Hugh turning against Roland and fighting with Kate.
It's so exciting!!! >đŸŒ»
Mercenary Kate Daniels must risk all to protect everything she holds dear in this epic, can't-miss entry in the thrilling #1 New York Times bestselling urban fantasy series.
Kate has come a long way from her origins as a loner taking care of paranormal problems in post-Shift Atlanta. She's made friends and enemies. She's found love and started a family with Curran Lennart, the former Beast Lord. But her magic is too strong for the power players of the world to let her be.
Kate and her father, Roland, currently have an uneasy truce, but when he starts testing her defences again, she knows that sooner or later, a confrontation is inevitable. The Witch Oracle has begun seeing visions of blood, fire, and human bones. And when a mysterious box is delivered to Kate's doorstep, a threat of war from the ancient enemy who nearly destroyed her family, she knows their time is up.
Kate Daniels sees no other choice but to combine forces with the unlikeliest of allies. She knows betrayal is inevitable. She knows she may not survive the coming battle. But she has to try.
For her child.
For Atlanta.
For the world.

This sounds like a great series and I hope you get to read it soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenea! I'm on leave for a few more days next week (Tuesday - release day included) so I'll be binge reading at midnight! lol

ReplyDeleteRenee ~ My Wow
Thanks!
DeleteI can't believe this is the last book in the series! I'm a bit behind, so I need to catch up soon. Awesome pick! :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy catching up!
DeleteI've never heard of this series but it looks really intriguing! There's nothing like waiting for the next in your favorite series :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a fav of mine! I really recommend it!
DeleteThat's an interesting setup. I hope you like it. Sounds like a book I would enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI think you'd really enjoy this series Mary! Book one is slow but the rest are freakin' awesome.
DeleteThis series is new to me and it sounds really intriguing. I hope that you love this book when you have the opportunity to read it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing! I can't recommend it highly enough... In fact, anything this author duo writes is golden.
DeleteI feel exactly the same about Andrews' Innkeeper Chronicles! I would love there to be another book in that series. I haven't yet had the pleasure of reading anything in the Kate Daniels series.
ReplyDeleteSweep of The Blade (Maude and Arland's story) is going up in weekly instalments at the moment (I'm reading it and loving it!) so shouldn't be too long until they compile it into a book for release! :)
DeleteThis sounds like a wonderful series, and I love your blog! The yellow is so happy and joyful!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteWhat a bittersweet feeling, to finish a beloved series. Hope this one goes out with a bang.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely bittersweet.
DeleteI've heard so many good things about this author, but I've never read her books. Looks good. I hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read a single one I didn't like. They are brilliantly written.
DeleteI may be the only person who hasn't started this series, but one of these days I definitely will, I hope you love it!
ReplyDeleteBook one is a bit slow but the series kick-starts with a bang in book two and just gets better and better!
DeleteEep, the end of the journey - it's always an exciting yet frightening part of it. I hope you get the finale you want, spin off or not! (But let's hope for that spin off too.)
ReplyDeleteI'm so nervous about how it all plays out. I trust that after 10 books the authors will give us a happy and satisfying ending but I'm going to be a nervous wreck, lol.
DeleteI read and liked the first in the series but for some reason I never got round to reading the rest of them!
ReplyDeleteI'd totally read the rest for they're so much better than the first. The first - for me - was the weakest in the series.
DeleteI've heard nothing but good things about this series (and the writing team of Ilona Andrews in general)!
ReplyDeleteI'm a complete fangirl, lol.
DeleteI know so many people love this series. Wonderful cover too!
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome! To be fair, everything they've written (and I think I've read all but four of their very many books) has been really good.
DeleteOh wow, this series is ending? I hope this book is a wonderful ending to the series!
ReplyDeleteI know! I can't believe it's ending...
DeleteThis sounds exciting! I haven't read any in this series but your excitement makes me want to! Great pick!
ReplyDeleteMary
Book one is slow (but good), the rest are awesome!
DeleteI haven't started this series yet, but it's on my TBR. Hope the finale is all you want it to be and that you get the spinoffs you want.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI hope you give it a try. :)
Ah I am often torn like this, don't want a book to end but can't put it down or stop reading
ReplyDeleteHope its as brilliant as you hope
Thanks! :)
DeleteI still need to read the last book but at least I don't need to wait a year between books!
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
The wait for this one (after the events in the last one) almost killed me! Having them both to read one after the other is the way to go. :)
DeleteExcited to see the last book of Kate coming out! I’m half way through the Kaye Daniels series. Got sidetracked by the Curran POV series. ❤️ Can’t wait to get back to Kate!
ReplyDeleteThis definitely sounds like a series I'd enjoy. I hope you love it as much as the other books!
ReplyDeleteTressa @ Wishful Endings

ReplyDeleteOMG, YAAAAASSSS!!! I haven't started this series yet, and I SO want to!! And I happen to own one of the books too -- "Magic Rises". Well, I need to start from the very first one -- "Magic Bites"! Lol. I'm going to make sure the WHOLE series is on my Goodreads shelves!! Thanks for featuring this book!! <3 <3
ReplyDeleteThanks as well for commenting on my own CWW post!! <3 :)
I will read anything they write. Their books are awesome. Speaking of which, there are so many of theirs I have yet to read!
