Weekly Update #16

Welcome!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Now that's explained, it's on to my weekly recap!

Building work and chaos pretty much sums up my week.
Just chaos... Parking chaos, snarky rude builders, mud, noise.
Not a great time to be living where we live and it makes the loss of the house we were buying last week all the more painful and annoying at having to put up with building crap that is nothing to do with us but the properties around us.
It's got weeks (months?) left to go and I'm losing my shit with it on a near daily basis while desperately trying to find my freakin' zen.

Hard Bitten - Chloe Neill

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Book four in the Chicagoland Vampires and the ending is an absolute heart-breaker!

Drink Deep - Chloe Neill

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yeay for endings!
This fixed the absolute cluster of a heart-hurting ending in book four but it caused it's own problems... Book six here I come!

Nothing!
I'm being positively angelic and I'm not reading much at the moment.
What I am reading is stuff I already own.

I've been living in a bubble and know nothing.

I started watching a true life documentary thing called The Staircase on Netflix about an author (Michael Petersen) who was accused of killing his wife but that's pretty much it except for How to Train Your Dragon: Race to The Edge tv series with my kiddo.

Review: A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

I have a pretty quiet week coming up so I'll be catching up on reviews and hoping to join in on a few memes!

Behind.
All behind... Oh well.

Have a great week all!

  2. Ugh, the building stuff sounds like a real mess. So lame to have to deal with that every day. I've looked at that Chloe Neill series before but have never started it. I tell myself that last thing I need is yet another series in work but even so... I'm interested.

  3. Some people bought the empty lot across the road from me so I'll be sharing those building woes with you soon. One good thing is it looks they will be putting the house on the back end of the property. Still, the driveway is right across from mine, so construction equipment will have to enter there. Oh well. I'll just turn up the volume on the telly. LOL

  4. I watched The Staircase when it first came out, so these new episodes are really fascinating to see. Our neighborhood also has a lot of construction/renovation going on throughout the year and it gets quite frustrating dealing with the increased traffic :| Hooray for being good and not hauling any new books!

  5. Ugh construction noise and mess can be the WORST. Especially when it seems to go on forever. The Chloe Neill books so good, I need more vampires.

  6. I can understand being irritated by the noise. We live next door to a strip mall that had a lot of construction over the past few years. Very noisy.

  7. Sorry you had a tough week. My neighbors are extremely loud people, so I can relate to that annoyance. I hope this week is better!
