Weekly Update #10

Welcome!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Now that's explained, it's on to my weekly recap!

Car drama. More freaking car drama... Seriously, I've had enough of the bloody thing. But! The garage replaced the faulty new part they installed last week (at no cost) and it now seems to be working perfectly. It's just my confidence in the thing that is damaged.

In other news, I lost another 1lb at Slimming World this week bringing my total to 11.5lbs off in 7 weeks.
I've had no gains since starting and this week I'm hoping to achieve my 1 stone (-14lb) award... Although -2.5lbs may be a tall order with a bank holiday weekend!

Not much reading this week...
😞

Shift by Karina Espinosa

⭐⭐⭐

I mostly enjoyed this but it was hard going at times. I'm still deciding whether to continue with the rest of the series at this point.

A Court of Frost and Starlight

I was naughty. So very very naughty... I had this pre-ordered on kindle but had forgotten so when I was out in town I bought a copy so now I have two!
I'm not all that bothered though... Well, it's not good for my book budget but I have the first three books in paperback (not kindle) so it's nice to continue the series in the same format.

Still 3.

Yet to begin.

7 or so behind.

We're still completing the Marvel re-watch and watched Antman and Dr. Strange this week.

I also watched the first few episodes of Netflix's Lost in Space with the professor and while he likes it, it is not for me... I found it tedious and boring.

This week, I think I'm going to kick off The 100 season 3.

Promo Tour: Dangerous Passions by Leigh Anderson
Giveaway Hop: May I Suggest...
Bookish Ramblings: Kindle Unlimited Update
Blog Tour & Review: Rome's Chance by Joanna Wylde
Review: Cursed by Fire by Danielle Annett

I don't know!
I have no scheduled posts and no promo commitments (blitzes, tours etc).
I do have many draft reviews so I think I'll finish some of them off, and post them, as well as take part in a few of the weekly book memes... It's nice to have a week of whatever I want!

Have a great week all!

  6. Ooh, I hate car problems, too! Knock wood, I haven't had any in a while. Mostly I've had flat tires. Sigh.

Enjoy your books and your challenges, and thanks for visiting my blog.

    1. Ugh, my last car (before the clutch died) was all about the tires... I had 3 call outs in the 12 months before retiring it because of tires. I remember that pain all too well!

      Thanks for stopping by!

Great job on the Slimming World weight loss. I’m definitely gonna have to start watching what I eat, I eat all the the time. My meds make me soo hungry. I’m hoping it gets better. Ugh.

Hope you week gets better with all the car trouble.

  10. Car drama is the worst. Glad it's at least working again. Oh and I love the 100 but Lost in space is kind of boring me too. I'm stalled out on episode 5 (or is it 4)? I dunno...

  12. I had that happen to me too. They fixed the car but the part was faulty and they had to replace it. Now I worry every time I drive the thing. Congrats on the wight loss! I'm still struggling to lose my winter gain. And there are so many new shows to watch. I tried several and didn't care for them. But have a few shows I like that have new seasons and so many good movies coming out!

  18. I hope your car problems are all behind you finally. Mine are just beginning, I'm afraid. I hope my car can last until I can take it in next weekend. Congratulations on your weight loss. I need to more actively work toward bringing my weight down as well. I'm so behind on the Marvel movies. I'm sorry to hear you aren't enjoying the Lost in Space remake. I am thinking of giving that a try, but am not completely sure I'm ready to dive in yet. I hope you have a great week!

    1. Ugh, I'm sorry to hear about your car problems just beginning. It's amazing the impact an unreliable / non functioning car can have on life! Fingers crossed yours are resolved quickly and relatively inexpensively!

  19. Sorry about the car troubles!! And I'm sad to hear Lost in Space is boring---I liked the original when I was a kid and was considering watching it for nostalgia purposes. I'll have to see what some other people think first, though.
