Weekly Update #8

Welcome!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Now that's explained, it's on to my weekly recap!

This week sucked.
Epically sucked.
And to top off the sucky week, my car ended up in the garage needing around £400 worth of repairs.
πŸ˜–
Not at all what I need right now!

This week can only get better, right?

A Prom to Remember by Sandy Hall

⭐⭐⭐

This was not my usual kind of book but I liked the sound of it so decided to give it a try.
I'll be reviewing this as part of the blog tour, so check back Monday!
😊

Kissed by Fire by Danielle Annett

⭐⭐

Last week, I read Cursed by Fire and quite liked it. Therefore, I was excited to discover book two had released the same weekend. I immediately picked it up and was left disappointed.
😞

Purchased:

This was a new release (or re-release) this week and, as I said earlier, I jumped on it.
Kinda wish I'd waited to see if it ended up on KU now...

Borrowed on Kindle Unlimited:

Hereditary Magic lured me in by the cover.
Kissing Booth lured me in via a short snippet on a Facebook ad.
I'll see what they're really like soon enough!

ARCs:

I read a preview of this a while ago and loved it.
Hopefully, the rest of the book is also awesome now that I finally get to read it!

I got an ARC of this as part of the up-coming blog tour.

Still 3.

Yet to begin.

7 behind.

The only things I watched this week were Marvel movies.
Captain America: Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.1, and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

I don't know if we'll get caught up before Infinity War releases next weekend, but we're not going to see it until we complete our re-watch, so we better get a move on!

Blog Tour & Review: Chaser by Kylie Scott
Review: From Lukov With Love by Mariana Zapata

I've got a busy week this coming week!
Two blog tours, one release blitz and I'll be taking part in the Book Blogger Hop weekly meme.

Have a great week all!

  2. Hope your week gets better...and my mantra; "It can always get worse." For me it makes me feel grateful still for the stuff that has NOT gone wrong LOL

  10. Sorry to hear your week sucked and you have to pay for car repairs! Bummer! Hope this week goes better for you.

I want the Joanna Wylde book! Haven't read one of her MC books in a while. I have a copy of From Lukov With Love but I'm waiting for the audio version to come out so I can listen and read. Love the narrated versions of Zapata's books. :)

  13. Aw sorry to hear about the week! This one will be better *fingers crossed* And I hate it when I love a book and then the sequel disappoints. That's no fun!

Love Songs and Other Lies looks fun tho.

Your Marvel movie watch sounds fun :)
