Weekly Update #7
Welcome!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.
It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
Now that's explained, it's on to my weekly recap!
Work, work and more work... That pretty much sums up my week.
π
The little dude and the professor came home on Thursday so that was nice, at least.
I've had a good news / bad news situation with the house we're buying so I'm anxious to see how everything plays out in the coming weeks and months. In an attempt to ignore the house related worries, I'm kick-starting this new week with a trip to Chessington World of Adventures before the little dude goes back to school, which should be fun!
In other news, I lost another 2.5lbs this week bring my total to 8 1/2lbs in 3 weeks!
π
Chaser by Kylie Scott
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I enjoyed this one. It was fun, light-hearted and sweet.
My full review will be posted this coming week as part of the blog tour.
Cursed by Fire by Danielle Annett
⭐⭐⭐ 1/2
This was book one in a new UF series.
I really liked it but every now and again I struggled with it's similarities to Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series.
However, I'll keep reading this series, for I love the possibilities it presents.
None.
Nothing.
Nada!
No purchases, no library books, no review copies or arcs.
Go me.
Still 3.
Yet to begin.
Oh... 6 or so behind.
Now the family is back, we're cracking on with the Marvel re-watch in preparation for Infinity War!
This week was Iron Man 3 and Thor: Dark World.
π
I've also finished S2 of The 100.
Wow. This show is going to break me...
All the feelings.

Oh no with the bad news! I hope it is not too bad. We found a perfect one last year but mold. I hope that is not the case there
ReplyDeleteNo, not mold. I think I'd rather deal with mold than builders! :(
DeleteGood luck with the house situation! That can always be stressful. Hope it all works out. The 100 is awesome
ReplyDeleteThe 100 is very awesome. I#m liking it a lot.
DeleteBuying a house can be so stressful. I hope the issues get resolved soon. And big congrats on another loss this week! You're doing so well! Glad you enjoyed Chaser. I'm actually listening to one by Kylie Scott right now - the first in the Stage Dive series. Almost at the end and it's been a fun read.
ReplyDeleteI love the stage dive series! Well, except the last one. Ben's book bugged me something fierce, lol.
DeleteEnjoy!
I hope you get some good news about the house soon. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenea! I think I need all the luck I can get!

DeleteCongrats on the weight loss! I'm in the process of loosing weight as well, and it's been a long slog. Still, better to do it slowly and keep it off, right? I have never heard of any of the books you've mentioned here ha ha, but I'm glad you visited my blog and I found you because now I've learned something new!
ReplyDeleteI agree, slowly but surely and all that jazz. I just wish it didn't have to be so and could disappear faster! lol

Karen @ For What It's Worth
It's all stressful and annoying and I think this weekend I'm going to bury myself in books and ignore it all!
DeleteFingers crossed that Everything will work out with the house. Good for you on the weight loss. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteI love Kylie Scott's Stage Dive series! Have you read that one? Mal and Jimmy were my two favorites! I didn't really care for Ben's book.
ReplyDeleteDo You Dog-ear?
Oh! And I am following you via Bloglovin' and Twitter! I thought I was before, so I'm happy I checked again.
DeleteI love the stage dive series! Jimmy's was my fav by far and I didn't like Ben's much either. :(
DeleteI hope things go well with the house you're buying. We've had quite a few family and friends selling and buying houses lately and it's a little nerve racking waiting for everything to close and if it'll work out how they hope. We're big Marvel fans too and I'm really looking forward to Infinity War. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteTressa @ Wishful Endings
Infinity War is going to be awesome. I can feel it in me bones! lol
DeleteHave a great week!
Chaser sounds so good! I read about it on a couple other blogs and I'm glad it was universally enjoyed. ❤️ I hope all goes well with you on your house! And that you have fun with your son.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :) We had a really good day.
DeleteCongratulations on the weight loss! I hope you had a good time at Chessington World of Adventures. It sounds like a fun place! Cursed in Fire sounds interesting. I hope the series gets better as it goes. It sounds entertaining, even if not completely original. I hope you have a great weekend! Happy Reading.
