Challenge Accepted! The Series That Never Ends

The Series That Never... Ends.
This one is hosted by the Delighted Reader.

The Deets

You know what I am talking about… those long series everyone raves about, but you have fallen behind.
Maybe you have read a few.
Maybe the author writes faster than superman.
Maybe you never heard about it until the series went viral.
Yeah, that series that has been hanging a noose around you neck… getting tighter and tighter.
Now you can be the heroine/hero on Social Media talking about the latest and greatest book that has come out and save everyone’s day!

The Challenge (if you choose to accept it)

Level One – 5-9 books – Surviving the Book Tsunami
Level Two – 10-15 books – Removing the Thorn From My Side
Level Three – 15 books or more – Goddess of Reading the Never Ending Series

Those pesky rules….

* The minimum goal is 5 books.
* The books have to be in the same series and by the same author(s).
* Only romance series are accepted. Any sub-genre of romance accepted.

My Goal

To catch up on Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter World Series!

(This is what I call it any way as there are so many intersecting Dark Hunter, Were-Hunter, Dream Hunter and 'Other' books that I just can't keep up with what it's actually called! Basically, it's anything in the Dark-Hunter universe that is for adults, i.e NOT Chronicles of Nick. Chronicles of Nick will be tackled separately at some point in the future.)

I used to read these books religiously but then they became one a year, the stories became more convoluted and I just stopped giving a crap as there never any resolution in the overarching story plots which drove me flipping nuts!

I'm hoping that now I've had a lengthy break that the appreciation for the individual books returns and that there is some resolution in the overarching story!

  1. Whew, yes, this series is a definite monstrous challenge. Cheering you on!!! :)

  2. I love the Dark Hunter series. I'm all caught up. I read them as they come out.

  3. Replies
    1. I know, right? I mean, with a great series I never really want it to end but all good things must! lol

  4. I fell behind with so many series that I quit most of them. I do need to read the last Kate Daniels book and the last two books in the Burn for Me series. That's about the only ones I've stuck with.

Now that I'm caught up on my review books I can't get back to leisurely reading!

    For What It's Worth

    1. I can't wait for Kate 10! 2017 has been the year of Ilona Andrews books for me, lol. I started it having read a couple of the early Kate books years ago and I'm finishing it having read all the Kate Daniels books (including those I read before), all the Hidden Legacy, two of The Edge series and two of the Innkeepers!
