Beautiful and broken, Valli just wants to run away and never look back. But with the shocking news of her pregnancy fresh in her mind, she wonders if that’s even possible. Told by her captors that one of the caged animals assaulted her, she knows she must do everything in her power to keep her unborn child safe. But when a glorious male tracks her down and claims her and her baby as his own, will she have the strength to walk away?

The female main character was impregnated against her will by crazy scientists.
The novella is part of a series but I haven't read any of the others and followed this one just fine.
It was a perfect example of a story with so much promise lacking depth due to the constraints of the word count.
However, I'd not be opposed to reading other books in this series as the world - what we saw of it anyway! - had potential and the writing was pretty good.

So is this 1001 Nights a series? I always thought it was an anthology O_o. I'm going to have to look it up.

This book is part of the Bayou Heat series.
Delete1001 Nights is a... I don't know! lol. They all have the same introduction, they are all novellas but each story within the 1001 Nights 'theme' belongs to different authors / series. It's weird and if I had to guess, I'd say it's just a marketing thing to expose readers of many different kinds of books to new different authors & genres.
Novellas... I feel your pain but love them for the quick reads.
