I've also had many suggestions to check out my library's selection of audio books so I'm going to do that too in case I do fall in love with them.
Choosing my 'first' audio book
When flicking through the available audio's - and there is quite a selection! - I discovered that Kristen Ashley has an audio book exclusive out at the moment called Complicated.
Seeing as the kindle and print versions of the book aren't out until November, and considering I'm an impatient one, it seemed like a no brainier that it would be my first as I do enjoy a Kristen Ashley novel.
The point is to utilise my time in such a way that I get to read more books, by listening while doing other things like ironing, not substitute reading time for listening time.
It was very annoying trying to re-adjust.
However, by that point I'd almost run out of ironing and figured I'd pick up - with the new narrator - at the next load of laundry.
My current opinion is that it takes too long to settle in to the narration and it takes too long for them to read me a chapter. Plus, it's annoying having big gaps between listening.
That said, I think if I listened more frequently - i.e. not just with the ironing - it wouldn't be as hard to settle in to the narration and I've been told I can speed up the reading tempo so I'm going to look into that too.
