Sunday Post: December Update

Hi all,
Happy Hogmanay!
(That's Happy New Year's Eve to most people but you can take the girl outa Scotland but you can't take Scotland out of the girl.)
I've been a terrible blogger lately and haven't posted much over the past couple of months... Life just kinda got away from me. I've had so much going on that I haven't had any motivation to sit and write anything and that's sad.
Hopefully, in the New Year, I'll be refreshed and right back on it.

Over the last few months, I haven't read all that many new books. I've been focused on re-reading some old favourites.
However, I have read a few new ones, as follows:

One Fell Sweep - Ilona Andrews
Sweep In Peace - Ilona Andrews
Clean Sweep - Ilona Andrews
On The Edge - Ilona Andrews
Bayou Moon - Ilona Andrews
Meet Me Under The Mistletoe - Carla Burgess
Christmas at the Falling Down Guest House - Lilly Bartlett
Pure Wicked - Shayla Black
The Truth About Porn Star Boyfriends - Sunniva Dee

On the blog, I'm trying to catch up on reviews, as I've fallen hideously behind on those, and I've got a few little promo bits to post in January for some up-coming books that I quite like the look of. I've also signed up for a few Reading Challenges to keep me on my toes in the coming year.

And over on My Sunny Buzzy Life:

On a personal front, my gorgeous girl Freya lost her battle with Osteosarcoma two days before Christmas which absolutely sucked. (Understatement of the century.)
I thought I'd share a little Christmas pic collage of her as she LOVED Christmas with all the decorations (to attack), food (to sneak), wrapping (to play in), boxes (to claim) and the general influx of people to love (worship) her.
She was one in a million and I'm not exaggerating when I say I'll miss that cat for the rest of my days.

I hope you all have a wonderful start to 2018.

  1. So sorry for your loss. It's coming up on 2 years since I lost my Disney and I still miss her every single day.

  2. I'm s sorry about Freya. What a gorgeous girl. It's always a difficult thing to go through but during the holidays make sit that much worse. We lost a dog years ago around that time as well.
